  1. Wearing your heart on your sleeve is a sure way of getting hurt. But, it’s also the only way for others to touch your heart…. Don’t lock it away. It hurts to be vulnerable, but I promise… Someone WILL make it worth it! 😉

    • When you wear your heart on your sleeve
It’s a sure fire way to be hurt
Your heart will get knocked down and trampled
      Gotta stay awake, stay alert

When you wear your heart on your sleeve
Some will lie, some will cheat
They’ll say all the things that you want to hear
Don’t let them sweep you off your feet

When you wear your heart on your sleeve
Some day you’ll notice a stare
From across a room, he looks at you
And you’ll know that he really does care

When you wear your heart on your sleeve
He’ll be caring, gentle and kind
With his eyes so blue, and they’re only for you
His own heart not so hard to find

When you wear your heart on your sleeve
One day he’ll ask you please
Can I hold your heart in my hands
I’m asking, I’m down on my knees

When you wear your heart on your sleeve
      He’ll protect your fragile heart
As if it were his own that he holds
And you’ll see what you’ve missed from the start

While you were wearing your heart on your sleeve
He was wearing his heart on his own
As he gives it to you, you can hear him say
Dear heart, this is your new home
