I don’t know if I only speak for myself, or if others too have that everyday struggle with what’s really good for our skin vs what will harm or damage it. It feels like everyday a new product is shoved in our faces with false hope that we will magically look (and sometimes even promised feel) younger and more vibrant. I have always just used a soap bar until it started drying out my skin and between my friends and family, we have tried every body wash that has come our way. This is where Dr. Bronners Magic soap came in. They say the best things come to us when we aren’t looking and that is true! I was on my most recent little vacation in NYC and since I used airbnb to book my trip, I was staying at someone’s condo. When I hopped into the shower the first night I noticed was a lot of natural and organic products. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to use the home owners stuff or not, but I didn’t care and went for it. After one try, I knew Dr. Bronner and I had a future together. It is an 18-in-1 soap made with all organic oils. It is 3 times more concentrated than traditional soaps. The craziest of it all is that you can wash just about anything with it. Your car, your dishes, your dog, your hair, your face (keep your eyes closed though folks, the sting is not cute) and in my case, your body. That’s how you know how organic and safe it is. It is so harm-free that you can use it on everything. Personally, I love this product at this time of year because the peppermint is very refreshing and makes you feel a little chilly. The lather is very easy to adapt to and I found zero irritations after using it for the first time (Hence why I purchased it myself). The price is incredible, especially for the size and anything organic usually costs an arm and maybe a leg too. Not to mention, because the body wash is so concentrated, you really don’t need a lot. It’s a pure, old-fashioned soap; the consistency appears thin and watery but once lathered with a loofa it’s a nice texture, very soapy. One little sprinkle of it is plenty so it’ll be a while until you need a new bottle. The company makes this in several different scents, but I am yet to stray from the peppermint and from other reviews it’s their most popular variety for a reason: like a peppermint patty for your body!

A couple of to take note on:
1. Be careful with your lady parts, they may not appreciate the very bracing mint sensation.

2. Read the bottle. Seriously, It’s completely strange and awesomely weird. The theory is uncomfortable and I’m not sure how Jesus has anything to do with it but we will cut him some slack for making this life changer.

Where it can be found:
I am from Canada and I have seen it at Fortinos and Goodness me. When I originally purchased, it was from Walgreens in the lower east side in NYC. I am so glad they sell it here! If you don’t have any of these stores near you, I would assume any natural store or health section of your local super market will have one.

The price: around 15 dollars, give or take a few bucks.

All the fragrances:
Almond, Tea Tree, Citrus, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Rose, Peppermint and for the kids, Baby Mild.

If you’re looking for something new and refreshing, this is what you’re looking for! If you try it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Happy Wednesday! xx

  1. Might have to have a look for this online… I haven’t seen it stocked anywhere in Australia, but I’m interested in giving it a go… Also, the best skin moisturizer I have ever used is just good old fashioned coconut oil… Forget anything else, your face and body will feel and look as smooth as a babies bum in no time 😉

  2. It’s always good to read about products other people like. Not sure if this is something I’d use but I bet they have other good products. Will definitely look next time I’m at our local store that sells good stuff. Cool packaging label colors.

  3. I’m so glad I seen this post ! I’m in the process of finding new products for my skin. Like other have said coconut oil is amazing for your skin. Right now I’m using a soap bar so I do get a bit dry on my legs but once I’m out of the shower I use coconut oil instead of lotions. It’s brilliant!

    • Trust me, this stuff is incredible ! I’m obsessed with it haha I actually put some in my bath tonight and it was cold and hot at the same time… If that makes sense ? I tried coconut oil on my face today and my skin does feel great 🙂 I think the two will be a nice combination

  4. I have passed this wash and the bar soap so many times in my local grocery store–always been curious, but never tried it. Thanks for the review! I’m going to pick up the lavender (I love lavender!) wash and bar today!! Great post.

  5. I’m now trying to find this in the UK!! Sounds lush. If ever there are natural products over here you want to try get in touch.
    xoxo
